The public image of the moving companies and their crews was that movers were not punctual, careful, courteous, presentable, responsible or professional when it came to moving and individual’s or company’s belongings. Websites for most of the local and regional competitors contained content, both visual images, and copy that reflected a very unprofessional industry approach to its marketing.
Gentry needed to differentiate itself from the competition by designing a very professional looking web site that positioned them as the “Go To” provider for expert moving services. Leveraging a new Branding Initiative that encompassed such new designs for packaging, transport vehicles, uniforms and marketing support materials (see Our Branding Portfolio under graphic design), a new site had to be developed that would showcase all these images of the new branding.
The new site would showcase the new logo and corporate umbrella tag line “Supporting Your Every Move” with multiple versions used to support each type of customer. Each category of customer would have its own button, customized visuals and copy content that would appeal to the respective customer profile. A multitude of photo images would support that approach within each customer section.
A very graphic presentation of both the company and its customer driven categories became the visual foundation upon which to communicate that Gentry Moving was a very professional and expert mover no matter what moving services were needed. The web site proved to be the most important access point and delivery mechanism for Gentry to position itself as the professional mover of choice within the region.
